Since 2008, Arredatore Design Studio has crafted over 200 distinguished residential and commercial interiors across India, establishing a design language defined by quiet luxury, warm modernism, and timeless storytelling. We view every project as an exploration of space, where architecture, materiality, light, proportion, and craftsmanship are orchestrated into a cohesive whole. Our approach is rooted in creating interiors that transcend trends, responding instead to context, lifestyle, and enduring relevance. Arunika Sarkar

Founder & Principal

Arunika Sarkar is an interior designer and the founder of Arredatore Design Studio, Kolkata, India, as well as the creative force behind Atelier Arunika. Known for her quietly sophisticated and narrative-driven approach, her work explores the intersection of interior architecture, materiality, and emotion.

Since establishing her practice in 2008, Sarkar has developed a distinctive design language rooted in warm modernism — where vintage, contemporary, and bespoke elements come together in a seamless, layered composition. Her spaces are defined not by excess, but by intention, reflecting a refined balance between function and feeling.

With the launch of Atelier Arunika, she extends this philosophy into collectible design, creating limited-edition furniture that exists as sculptural objects within a space. Each piece is conceived as part of a larger narrative — imbued with character, presence, and a sense of timelessness.

Educated in Architecture and Design from SPA, New Delhi, and trained in Product Design at FIDI, Florence, Sarkar brings a global perspective to her work while remaining deeply grounded in context and craftsmanship. Her practice is distinguished by an understated elegance and a commitment to storytelling — where every detail is considered, and every space is designed to be experienced as much as it is seen.

After finishing his studies in architecture from London, UK and spending significant amount of time abroad gaining experience, he came back to India and joined the already booming operation with a new magnum of innovation and excellence. His down-to-earth, collaborative approach makes him an exception in his field and highly regarded by his clients, vendors & contractors alike.

Arindam skilfully directs every project, instilling confidence & ease throughout the complex process of residential or commercial interior or exterior work. He is classy, dynamic, enthusiastic and believes that excellence is not a skill but an attitude. He is always on the go and churns out ideas every now and then by the concoction of traditional or classic along with eclectic modern, chic or contemporary luxuriant designs.

Unlocking the dreams of his elite clientele & creating designs which manifest more than just decor is his passion. "I always believed to live life up to my own expectations. Go out there and do something remarkable," quotes Arindam.
